This month we will focus on a few goodies that are still readily available in most mass market retail outlets (aka. Target. Wal-Mart, etc.).
The first item is by Playmates, called Speedeez, that are similar to the micro machines toys that came out a few years ago. I would say they are roughly 1/70 scale, and in the pack # 60085, Muscle Mayhem collection 1, this particular collection contained 5 extra free cars... one of which being a white Lotus Esprit!
Next up, Hot Wheels has released a variation of the 2004 First Editions, Lotus Sport Elise - #36/100. This new variation is now yellow (as opposed to the gold color in the original release), and is missing the lotus sport background graphic on the sides. P.S. For the James Bond collector, there is news that ERTL will he releasing a 1/18 Lotus Esprit in the next few months... not sure if they bought the original tooling from Auto Art, but as I find out more.
