This month we are blessed (or cursed, if you are a spouse of a collector!) with a few Loti tidbits... mostly repaints, but one surprise as well! The good news is that this month, you won't break the bank picking up these little goodies!
First off is the Lotus Exige from Matchbox. It is in the Sports Car collection, and is number 11 of 100. This repaint sports a nice orange finish with yellow and silver accents.
Next up, from Hot Wheels, is the Lotus Concept car. This is another one that has seen several different paint schemes through the years. The Lotus Concept is from the Track Stars line, and is number 3 out of 15 in the series. It sports a nice metallic dark blue finish, with yellow and white accents, along with yellow colored wheels, and a rather nifty yellow half windshield.
Continuing with the Hot Wheels line, we also have from the Track Stars line (this one being number 2 out of 15), is the Tesla Roadster. This time around, it sports a metallic green paint scheme with black stripes. While not a true Lotus, I thought it should be included as it shares it's DNA with the Elise!!
Lastly, I was pleasantly surprised to find this little gem in the toy aisle as well. It's from Matchbox, and part of their Sports Cars collection. This '09 Caterham Superlight R500 is number 3 out of 100, and sports a nice white and red paint scheme, with a black interior. This is an all new casting, so perhaps we will be in for other seven variations to come...hope so!!
